Personalized Care
| Jane Small,
who has been breeding and training dogs for fifteen years, will
personally care for your dog. Each dog eats their own food and follows
a routine similar to home. Personal attention is a guarantee because
the camp is limited to ten guests. Special needs are easily met.
Dogs sleep in our home (there is no kennel), and have the run of
a huge yard. On-site grooming is available for an additional fee. |

Cape Cod Dog Camp is family run and owned. There is no "staff" caring
for your dog. As a trainer and a breeder I know what normal behavior
is for a dog. Toy dogs often get depressed and need a bed to sulk in
with a warm body. Labs enjoy a baby pool, a sprinkler and rough and
tumble play. Golden retrievers can't wait for the walk on the beach.
Understanding what your dog needs to be safe and feel happy is what
it's all about.
Jane Small's father raised imported German Shepherds and Jane was raised
in a dog-oriented house. Her own breeding program began 15 years ago
with Bull Terriers. She later bred Toy Poodles and Yorkshire Terriers.
At that point Jane began competitive obedience training with her two
toy dogs. Along the way Jane has trained with Lisa Rockland, Patty Ruzzo,
Carolyn Barney, and currently with Nancy Droukas. To date Jane has had
8 litters of puppies and 5 breed champions. In addition, she has put
3
obedience
titles on her Standard Poodles and currently has a Utility title on
her Standard Poodle Katie.
The Small Dog Inn was the first home boarding for Jane Small in 1989.
At that point the boarding was strictly for toy dogs and large breed
puppies until Jane herself acquired her first Standard Poodle, Katie,
six years ago.
After several years of apprentice training for Laurie Hine at Especially
For Pets in Newton, Jane opened
Puppy
Perfect Professional Dog Training and began teaching group and private
lessons in and around the Boston area.
As time passed the demand for a comprehensive puppy board train program
grew. Cape Cod Dog Camps works with families to get puppies started
right so first time owners can be successful at home. Cape Cod Dog Camps
began its Puppy Boot Camp four years ago. Today Cape Cod Dog Camp houses
all dogs of all ages and sizes. For further information please contact
