The most outstanding component of the CCDC is Puppy Boot Camp. This program for juniors, 10 weeks through 8 months, is designed for the lovable, yet not quite fully trained puppy. Young puppies just learning to toilet will be escorted to do their business every two hours. All puppies are worked for two fifteen-minute sessions per day rotating the basic commands (sit, down, off, wait, leave it, come, and controlled leash walking). Because we live them it is easy to see where their problem areas lie.

Puppies do not always arrive at a time when life is slow. Some puppies board train because of family vacations and some because there is not enough progress being made at home. In either case the puppy "boot camp" is very effective and fun. Puppies live with our family of 6 and are taught all the basics, housebreaking, no stealing, sit to be petted, coming when called, etc. House rules are for all dogs so your dog will get very clear pack messages. Little puppies (under 4 month) are toileted every 2 hrs. Every puppy gets 30 minutes private time with the trainer.

At the time of your visit you will share your concerns about your puppy's behavior and when you arrive back I will have more insight as to where these behaviors originate and what is causing them. Prior to discharge we go over your new way of responding to the puppies behavior so that the training is maintained. Several weeks later we schedule a follow up visit.
